In recent years, many developments ASEAN counties have seen significant developments in the ports industry to accommodate for the growing trade flow. With stiff competition around the region, connectivity emerges as one of the key factors in defining a port’s attractiveness to shipping lines.
This masterclass will highlight the strategies for sustainable port developments and address the demands of efficient container and general purpose terminals. This masterclass equips port managers and terminal operators with examples of best practices in port management and introduces performance and improvement measurements for the industry.

Senior Port Terminal Expert,

Thomas holds a BA in economic and business studies and a PHD in political science. He has occupied different positions in the logistics industry as well as in higher and further education. With HPTI, Thomas has developed and delivered trainings for container terminal staff, focusing on organization, optimization and the use of IT planning tools. Clients were port terminal operators in Germany, South Africa, Iran, Sudan and Russia.
